Poledno Estate

Poledno Palace

Poledno - a small village located near such cities as Swiecie, Chelmno and Bydgoszcz. The history of the place associated with the Palace and Park Complex in Poledno dates back to 1415, when the first mention of the village was recorded.

In the second half of the 16th century, the village of Poledno belonged to the royal estate, and its lessee was the castellan of Elbląg, Rafał Konopacki. Among the subsequent owners of Poledno, the Czapski family from Bukowiec (1850) and Hilmar von Wuthenau (1869) are mentioned. Around 1890, a brick building of the Palace was built.

In the 20th century, after the outbreak of World War II, the palace and park complex passes into the possession of Z. von Falleis (1941) and from 1948 the estate becomes the property of the State Treasury. Since the early 1990s, the mansion becomes private property and returns to its earlier splendor under new owners.
